There was a moist fog hanging in the air the other night when I noticed the sun was casting its orange light against the sky as it set in the distance. I grabbed the camera and the tripod and walked over to the bridge to take a few photos. While the sunset may not have [...]

Blue Morning

I woke up the other day to find this little blue visitor sitting out on our screened porch. The door to the porch has been open lately and she seemed to be having a little trouble finding her way back out through it. After snapping a few photos with the zoom lens I kindly coaxed [...]

A black capped chickadee sits atop his home on a cold winter afternoon. Took this with the big Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8 II IS lens I’m borrowing and I am so impressed with the sharpness and accuracy of this glass. If you like this photo, please click Like or Share below to help promote my [...]

Country Store

The entry to the country store at Kimball Farm in Westford. I took this from the other side of the street and I could barely see over the snowbank on the side of the road. Still, I love the way the light came out in this and it just feels warm inside.

We had a great snow storm the other day that left the yard a winter wonderland for the kids. Happy Mom had a great playing with them and watching them have fun.

My wife knit this fantastic red shawl for herself. I photographed it, and her with it, in our living room using just the ambient light and the bare speedlite bounced off the ceiling just behind me to the left. A little crop and cleaning and I’m pretty happy with the results. (Really proud of her [...]

Dorothy at the local ski area on a recent winter evening. Spedlite set to 1/128 power to give just enough fill.
