Did a wedding this spring and the cherry tree in the yard at the hall was in full bloom at the ceremony. This was where the family decided to have the group photos, for obvious reasons.

I was walking through the yard the other day and noticed that the cherry tree has blossomed. If I had planned it out I might have used a diffuser and/or a reflector, but for a drive-by shooting this came out quite nice.
It was getting pretty late by the time I got past the Lincoln Memorial. I turned back on my way to the next sight and was instantly impressed with how it looked from this angle with all the lights on surrounding it. Pretty impressive indeed.
A little more symmetrical than my usual style but I thought it was interesting nonetheless. These are the fountains of the World War II Memorial with the Washington Memorial in the background.

One of the many birds that have been devouring the feed that we put out for them. This one is a black-capped chickadee, and we have a lot of them.
Every spring when the snow melts, the Concord River fills up and flows over its banks. It’s always fascinating for me to see the acres of woods overtaken by the flood. While the bridge here between Carlisle and Bedford is in no danger, it is certainly a lot closer to the water than it is [...]
Every spring the turtles come up from the creek and dig their nests in the yard at the side of our house. So far we’ve seen at least five turtles laying their eggs, and we can see traces of at least another half dozen nests that appeared when we weren’t watching. This turtle is a [...]
We were at the amusement park the other day and thought I would find some good perspective shots. Even though it was the middle of the day, the wheel was empty and quiet as it was down for repairs. At first this photo didn’t really strike me as much, mostly because the sky was completely [...]
