Our youngest son loves the wooden railway. This Christmas he got the engine named “James”, which he has since renamed “mine” as they share the same name. Shot with the 50mm prime lens, single strobe bounced off the wall/ceiling camera rear left.

Had “date night” with my lovely wife at our favorite local restaurant. I even promised to pay more attention to her than to the camera. It wasn’t that hard really, but I did knock the photo out early so that I could give her my undivided attentions. Love you Sweetie.

Every year I take the kids to the holiday trains at one of our local businesses. This year our youngest son is 22mo and loves his toy trains, so this trip was a real special treat for him. While the kids watched the trains roll around and took turns at the controls I took photos [...]

Almost forgot to put the chickens to bed the other night, and almost forgot to take the daily photo too. Took care of both late this night.

Every year the local preschool puts on a “Touch-a-Truck” fund raising event. The kids have a great time climbing in and on all the trucks, and I have a good time hunting for new perspectives. This old radiator gauge was pretty interesting for me.

The dealer’s token at man camp this year. Every year a bunch of us guys get together to drink and play games on an overnight camping trip for just the guys. Played some good horseshoes too, but it’s easier to take pictures when you’re playing poker.

I’ve got this solar charger that I really need to make more use of. It’s got a built-in battery, so in theory you can leave it to charge itself it the sun and then use that to charge your device at a later time.
