If there is one thing I do like about spiders it’s that they eat other insects. We get a fair amount of spiders in the house, and more often then not I let them be. I will clean up thier webs from time to time, but they’re welcome to build new ones in their place. [...]

I bought my little point-and-shoot with me on a recent overnight trip to New York. I had brought lots of gear on the trip to Quebec and felt it was too much so I was minimizing. Of course, it also helps if you bring fresh batteries for said camera. So here’s a picture of my [...]

Patches of these little white flowers have sprung up all over my lawn. Probably wouldn’t happen if I actually mowed the grass more often. They’re pretty though, especially up close like this.

When I mentioned that I would be posting pictures later, many of them joked that they were looking forward to seeing the pictures [...]

Golden Eye – 013/365, originally uploaded by JMaz Photo. Reverse-lens macro of our golden retriever. I like this one because of the way the hairs the edge of his eyes are all in crisp focus and how they serve to lead the eyes across the photo. I got inspired looking at Lance’s reverse lens shots [...]
