Antique glass bottles in the window at the Westford Museum in Westford Massachusetts.

Here in Westford there is an old 1880′s one-room schoolhouse in the historic Parkerville district. I recently had the opportunity to explore the inside of the schoolhouse, and there I found this antique upright phonograph. This is a detail shot of the fine speed adjustment lever.

Now with DDT! At our camp we have a collection of old bottles and cans that have been around forever. Besides the nostalga factor it’s fun to see the way products were marketed. I love the proper housewife spraying the toxic chemicals. Ah, the insight of science.

Looking up the road from where we had dinner in Quebec’s old city. I love the colorful buildings all packed in so tightly. The woman who randomly turns around and looks right into the camera is a real treat too.
