At the top of the hill in the center of town is this beautiful old farm. I stopped by one night and did some long exposure shots. This is an HDR blend of three exposures. I would have liked the porch lights to have been toned a bit but still pretty happy with the results.

These are some of our fresh eggs from the chickens. We collect for the co-op once a week, and we are getting between one and almost two dozen fresh eggs each time we go. Lit with a single Speedlite bounced off the kitchen ceiling.

Fall is here and it’s time to get ready for the harvest season. The pumpkins are in at the apple orchard and it feels like Halloween is just around the corner.

We have ben really enjoying the fresh friuts and vegetables that have been coming our CSA box. Locally grown foods just seem to tast better, not to mention being better for our environment and our community farms. This is a slice of watermelon and some seeds that we enjoyed for desert the other day. Delicious!
The kids love to come to the farm and pick fresh fruit. This day we were picking blueberries… pounds and pounds of them. We use them in bread, pancakes, jam, preserves, etc… Great fun for the family and great to have fresh local foods in the house.
We were picking raspberries the other day and I tried to make some nice photos while I was there as well. I spotted this little fellow under one of the berries, and after cropping the picture I thought it looked pretty cool. Taken with natural available light.
Our favorite local farm recently refreshed and expanded their roadside stand. I’ve always loved the rusty old farm equipment out in the yard here.
