Pouring a beer with friends at our local Indian restaurant. I usually try to go for an appropriate ethnic drink, or at least a drink that comes from that country. The beer list was mostly American beer or traditional imports, with Taj Mahal beer being the only exception. It was OK… it may have been brewed in India, but it seemed a very American style.
I took a lot of photos this day but this one is my favorite. Not only does it have good color and a clear subject, but it also has a high story value. I like being able to look into a photo and pick out details that lend more insight into what is happening at that moment. For a spontaneous, SooC image, this one does pretty well.
Had dinner at Gritty’s in Freeport following an industry trade show. Spent the day on booth duty, so having a drink at the bar was a welcome change of pace.
Squash from the CSA stuffed with sausage and herbs, covered in homemade sauce and shredded cheese. No, I’m not turning this into a food blog… there are plenty of folks who do a much better job at that than I ever could. No, just a semi-random photo of a meal that my wife was particularly proud of. Today’s photo was a toss-up between this a semi-random photo of the beach where I dropped of the kids for day camp. It was an OK picture of the water, but I thought this was a better picture of a yummy meal.
