Our youngest son loves the wooden railway. This Christmas he got the engine named “James”, which he has since renamed “mine” as they share the same name. Shot with the 50mm prime lens, single strobe bounced off the wall/ceiling camera rear left.

Take a dark room, a bag of glow-sticks, and a bunch of sugar-high children and mix until insanity prevails. This is from a birthday/Halloween party that we recently attended. This kids had a great time, and I got this cool photo. Thanks again to our hosts for such a good time!

Wet hair boy loves to play in the water. Taken with the iPhone and converted to black & white. This photo somehow got skipped in publishing. It should have been number 264 in the series. Throwing it into the sequence late to fill in the missing spots.

I took the boy out for a little drive to lower the decibel level in the house at home. We ended up at the beach around the corner, so I pulled out the camera and flash and took some pictures. It’s nice when I get a chance to actually take some photos for this crazy [...]

Remember when life was so simple? Nothing the kids seem to love more than getting dirty out by the dirt piles.

The kids love to come to the farm and pick fresh fruit. This day we were picking blueberries… pounds and pounds of them. We use them in bread, pancakes, jam, preserves, etc… Great fun for the family and great to have fresh local foods in the house.

Kids love to play dress up and to use their imagination. We found our girl running around the house dressed as a “butterfly clown.” In this picture you can see her “wings”, the shirt sleeves sticking out from her backpack. There are days when there are very few choices for the “photo of the day”. Good or bad, those end up being the daily photo. Take this day for example. I took a couple really bad photos of the kid using the camera phone during dinner, and then neglected to take any other photos at [...]

I took the kids to a local pond to do a little fishing the other day. They had a great time, and my daughter even caught her first fish.
