We spotted this little guy sitting out on the ice over the creek the other morning. Not sure if he dug that hole in the ice or not, but it did seem that he was sitting there eating something. I was happy to finally get a half-decent shot of our local wildlife with my inexpensive long lens. Seems there is never enough light for that lens’ small aperture and I end up with shaky blurry photos of our creek. This day I set up the tripod at our window and used the two-second timer to eliminate the shake. Luckily my subject wasn’t moving much either.
