A short while back I did some examples of fun bokeh shapes with our Christmas tree lights. This article from DIYPhotography shows a simple and easy way to make your own bokeh shapes kit. I did mine even more low-tech than this version… I used scissors to cut half-shapes into folded business cards. I then unfolded the card and taped it to my 50mm lens and started shooting. One things for sure… the modified cards don’t take up much space in the bag and you can usually find some time wherever you happen to be going. Still, if you want to maintain your professionalism, consider the better looking option of the two.
