I finally broke down and bought myself a new computer. The one I had been using was about five years old and chewing on photos in Lightroom would bring it to its knees. Working on a tight budget so I went with a decent refurbished PC from my local hardware store. It may not be top-shelf, but it is so, so better than where I was at before.
