The flowers in our yard come and go in stages. The other morning my daughter brought me outside to show me these new bloom, and to report on how her brother had killed the crocus’s (posted earlier, and hidden in the bokeh above) when he watered them. I assured her that he had not killed them, but that rather they had simply bloomed and passed and that the plant was moving on to the next stage. She seemed to understand. Added bonus: daily photo knocked out early that day.
