My son thought the Pins and Needles photo was pretty cool, but he wanted to know why I didn’t make a little man out of them. Not being afraid of building things himself, he went ahead and made the pin man and asked me to come photograph it. He also wanted to be in the photo, as before when he had with the recycling center. Using the mirrors was a new concept to him, but he seemed to grasp the concept quickly enough. Shot with a large aperature so that the Creator himself is more of a background to his creation than a distraction from it.
I really hadn’t planned on this being my daily photo, but it wasn’t long after this that we discovered the water coming into the basement. This picture it much more interesting than, say… my freeweights sitting in an inch of water on the carpets. Photos might get a little less interesting over the next few days as my focus now is to just get through this disaster and save as much of our furniture and walls as I can. (I’ve already written off the carpets… maybe pulling them out will make a fun photo when I get to that point.)
