All throughout dinner tonight I was eying up different things on the bar a few feet away from our table. After my wife and I finished eating I started putting together the camera, the flash, the cable, and the DIY diffuser, and then casually moved myself to a seat at the bar. After assuring the bartender that I was not going to take any picture of her, I settled in behind this martini glass and started shooting. I played around a bit, shot a few other bar objects, and came back to this glass. Using the diffuser flat on the bar to create a bit of a snoot pointed at the bottles, and kicking the strobe down to 1/128 to keep it soft, I got this nice photo with some beautiful bottle bokeh holding down one side of the image with the overhead lights doing good things in the drink on the other.

(Wow, I missed publishing my daily photo for Saturday. One post out of order, but still rocking on the execution of taking the photos.)

Love how the colors blend beautifully in the background.
