Today is our little boy’s first birthday, so of course today’s photo features our little boy! He opened one gift today, with lots of help from his big sister. In fact, I’m pretty sure she opened his gift herself, and is playing with it behind his back while he plays with the torn wrapping paper. That’s OK though… after all, when you’re just one year old, the paper or the box is often the best part of every present anyway!
Bare handheld speedlite bounced off the ceiling, shooting with the kit lens, holding the camera at the floor and aiming only by sight. I blew out the clutter in the background a tad using a select and effect just to keep the sharp edges from drawing the eyes away from the happy boy.
