I was inspired today by one of the kids toys on the living room floor. I dragged it to the studio and played with some ideas, and those ideas let me to go pick up this great wooden abacus Tried a bunch of different angles with the camera and with the light to try to make it interesting. (Probably not focused either because I am tired and distracted by other projects. Plus I know how well things come out when I try to be creative.) Anyway, it popped for me when I tried it with the light behind the abacus… suddenly if got interesting at last. I took a few pictures, cropped and bordered this one, and now I can go to bed knowing I made another good one. Camera with the 50mm, speedlite at 1/128 with a Stofen on.
